Clovis Unified’s Measure A is on the ballot this November. Measure A is a facility bond measure that maintains a stable tax rate and would provide for: 
  • Safety, energy efficiency and technology upgrades for ALL schools.
  • Modernization and repairs to aging schools.
  • Completion of our new high school to ease overcrowding.

Student Site Council

Hirayama Elementary School is in the process of forming the School Site Council (SSC) for the current school year. The SSC is required for schools receiving categorical funds. SSC will meet at least four (4) times during the school year.
 
The purpose of the SSC is to advise the principal and staff on:
  • The development of a detailed School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) submitted to the Governing Board
  • The development of the school’s needs assessment
  • Approval of the School Plan for Student Achievement, including the categorical budgets of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Title III English Learner funds
  • Monitor the  School Plan for Student Achievement's implementation
If you are interested in serving on the School Site Council, complete the form below no later than August 30th, 2024. We are currently looking for three (5) parent members for 2 year terms through June 2026.

English Learner Advisory Committee

Hirayama Elementary School is in the process of forming the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) for the current school year.  The ELAC is required for schools with an enrollment of 21 or more English Learners (EL). ELAC will meet at least four (4) times during the school year. The ELAC members must have a student that is currently an English Learner at Hirayama Elementary.
 
The purpose of the ELAC is to advise the principal and staff on:
  • The development of a detailed school plan for English Learners submitted to the Governing Board
  • The development of the school’s needs assessment
  • Administrators of the school’s language census
  • Efforts to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance
  • Monitoring and implementation of the Title III and Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) budgets

If you are interested in serving on the English Learner Advisory Committee, complete the form below no later than August 30th, 2024. We are currently looking for one (1) English Learner parent to serve a two year term through June 2026
